Trump keeps bragging about low unemployment but he is just continuing the trend started under Obama. To be fair to Trump, I am sure it is harder to reduce unemployment once the rates are already low.
Obama cut the black UE rate in half, 16.6% to 7.8%. Under DT it went down 1 point to 6.8%.
-Under Obama, Hispanic UE went 13% to 5.9%. Under DT it also went down 1 point to 4.9%.
White man takes credit for something a black man did. PS: they’re expanding the drug war https://t.co/9MdxfU6nn5

Sanders claimed that three times as many black Americans had gained employment since Trump took office as under Obama's administration.

Defending Trump against racism charges, Sanders falsely claimed Obama created just "195,000 jobs for African-Americans" over eight years.
In January 2009, 15.5 million African-Americans were employed. In December 2016, Obama's last full month: 18.3 million. Gain of 2.8 million. pic.twitter.com/ENlfIZDO8z

.@PressSec uses false black job numbers about the first black president to try to dodge questions about Trump's alleged use of the N-word, and accusations from his highest-ranking raking black aide that he's a racist.https://t.co/ZAG6gPfzPk

Analysis: The White House seems to think it’s impossible for Trump to be racist if black unemployment is low https://t.co/fRrbKKAPFW
