IRS funding is working. IRS is recovering more money than they are spending. Republicans are not serious about saving government money since they won’t support IRS funding.
As former IRS commissioner John Koskinen has said: “Underfunding the agency is just a tax cut for tax cheats.” People who actually care about the deficit, much less a government that provides valuable services and protections for regular people, would never do this.
