“Crying, Waiting, Hoping” was one side of Buddy Holly’s first posthumous single in 1959.
The cover version most people would know is Marshall Crenshaw’s performance as Buddy Holly in the 1987 film La Bamba. Holly was killed in the plane crash that ended the life of Ritchie Valens, the film’s subject.
