McConnell will block bill, the administration has slowed work on election security and Trump would accept foreign help. There will be foreign efforts to meddle in the 2020 election which will undermine confidence in the results. Sad!
.@chriscuomo: 2020 election security bills have hit Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell's roadblocks. Why?

The answer may simply be because he and his side benefited in 2016. Could he even be counting on benefiting in the same way in 2020? pic.twitter.com/PmAYVbMmGl

There is simply not any legitimate reason to do this. He would have the control to amend it in any way he sees fit. But to not allow it to even be considered – there’s no justification. https://t.co/O7BLnuGgOY

McConnell is resisting calls for election security bills because he believes enough has been done, says Washington shouldn’t have too heavy a hand. But moving bills could amount to implicit rebuke of Trump. House Dems are now planning a new push. https://t.co/tRiA8AIwk0

The bills Mitch McConnell is blocking would subject the voting machine vendors to new cybersecurity regulations and could reduce their overall sales to states. McConnell’s campaign gets money from voting machine lobbyists.https://t.co/3OGKHoAunj
