Richard Thompson wrote “Dimming of the Day” which first appeared on 1975’s Pour Down Like Silver by Richard and Linda Thompson. I recently watched him perform it online as part of his Live from London series. Thompson mentioned the covers by Bonnie Raitt and Tom Jones.
