” If You Want Me to Stay” is a 1973 Sly and the Family Stone song that has been covered in a current Crown Royal commercial. It’s not one of my favorite Sly songs but anything that brings attention back to them is great. They are one of the best bands ever. They managed to fuse R&B and rock in a way that was universal. I saw them twice and they were even better than their records.
