History of the MGM logo (Leo the Lion)

Leo the Lion first appeared as the MGM logo in 1924 in the excellent film He Who Gets Slapped.

The Marx Brothers logo was created for A Night at the Opera but not used

A cameraman and sound technician recording the roar of Leo the Lion for MGM's famous movie logo, December 18, 1928.
