The Orioles deserve a lot of credit for picking him with the first pick. They have also done a great job of preparing him for the majors.
Most people, me included, would have picked Druw Jones. Holliday is now the #1 prospect in the minors while Jones is #78 on MLB Pipeline. Holliday has a good chance to be on the opening day roster.

Jones went second. CBS states: Jones, whose father Andruw is a borderline Hall of Famer, was in the running for the top spot entering the spring. He’s since emerged as the industry’s preferred choice.
