Republicans could have prevented Trump from taking over
- They had almost 20 candidates in the 2016 primaries. They picked Trump.
- They could have voted for conviction in the impeachments. Most of them chose not to.
- There were alternatives in 2024 such as Haley and DeSantis. They chose Trump.
- They could vote for Harris now even if they don’t like her policies.
Bernstein’s comment makes them sound passive. I think they could have avoided this and chose not to act.
