Why I stopped using Twitter and switched to Bluesky

I got tired of personal attacks from people who didn’t even know me. When I had profile pics with a mask or long hair, they attacked that. One person asked if I was on LSD when I wrote a particular post. I didn’t reply but was tempted to say “Not that time.”

Twitter was getting intolerable. I was tired of personal insults fromMAGA people who don’t know me. They think it’s alright because that’s how their cult leader behaves. I never insulted them – I don’t know them.

The last straw was the person who said I had cognitive issues. Earlier, I was (wrongly) accused of being a 60 year old version. The MAGA people never expressed positions on the issues I posted about.

I think I was 69 when I was accused of being 60. I was flattered by that part.
