I remember the China Doll restaurant on the 400 block of Park Avenue in Baltimore. I ate there at least once. When I moved to Baltimore in 1976, Chinese restaurants like China Doll served chow mein and chop suey. The first Szechuan restaurant I can recall was Szechuan in Federal Hill. Then there was Uncle Lee’s on Greenmount Avenue. These two restaurants were a revelation.
