This is an enormous blow to healthāmRNA vaccines have been good not just for Covid but cancers. It's also a huge driver of biomedical research and industry. Guess all that science, and revenue will go to other countries http://www.mskcc.org/news/can-mrn…
There's been a lot of discussion lately around mRNA vaccines.Learn about them from mRNA researcher & Nobel Prize winner Prof. Katalin Karikó. Science, solutions & solidarity.
Hey congrats to everyone who took the soft anti-vaccine stance of āmRNA vaccines arenāt 100% effective and arenāt useful against future variants so the mRNA vaccines arenāt good, we need to mask foreverā, your stance has been noted by RFK Jr. to kill mRNA technology in America.
WOW. The Trump admin is rewriting reality, erasing accountability for any nation with close ties to Trump ā including Russia, El Salvador, and Israel. The El Salvador report changes are egregious, totally erasing well-documented abuses. And the impact will be severe. Quick š§µ.
By striking out any reference to human rights abuses in El Salvador or persecution of LGBTQ+ individuals in Russia, the Trump admin is firmly placing its finger on the scale and trying to get judges and asylum officers to deny asylum for some countries and for disfavored groups.
Your government is for sale. You can blame Trump since he's soliciting and taking bribes. But let's also blame the companies that are eager to bribe him.The rise of MAGA fascism is an attempt by the super-rich to destroy democracy and rule as royalty. We must fight back. (Gift link to NYT story.)

Schumer caved in to the Republicans last year. He’s got to do better this year. Republicans have shown they can’t be trusted. The rescission shows they will make a deal and then go back on it. Trump has been unwilling to spend all of the money allocated by Congress.
Is a shutdown the answer? I am not sure. I know Trump’s policies are unpopular and Democrats need to use that to block him to the extent possible. He has already done enormous, probably irreparable damage to the government.
8/30/25 – Trump is now going for a second rescission. Even some Republicans object to his tactics. Trump cannot be trusted on any deal.
5/Last year, Democrats made a painful bipartisan budget deal.Republicans agreed. Then they just gutted it with a rescission bill erasing Democratic priorities. Republicans defunded PBS and NPR for reporting the truth. They kept what they wanted. Dems got burned. http://www.cbpp.org/blog/resciss…
Axios today on why House Democrats didn't fight the PBS&NPR rescission. We at NIH are dealing w/ a nuclear disaster for American science. We are happy to help Democrats who want to fight: the end of cancer research is a place to fight. But we desperately want a fight.@andrewsolender.bsky.social:
