Bluesky posts onTrump’s latest pro-Putin lie

I hope someday we find out why Trump is so pro-Putin. I think he owes Russia money. Just a guess. I don’t think the pee tape is real (though I wish it was).

Fact check: Russia was removed from the G8 for invading Ukraine

Andrea Chalupa (@andreachalupa.bsky.social) 2025-06-16T16:40:40.550Z

Russia did not invade Ukraine in 2022 because the G8 kicked Russia out.The G8 kicked out Russia in 2014 *in response* to Russia forcefully taking Crimea from Ukraine. The timing and rationale is well documented. It's not in dispute. It's just that the US president is a Russian-sympathetic liar.

The G8 became the G7 after Russia annexed Crimea in 2014 and was suspended from the group.Stephen Harper was the prime minister of Canada in 2014.

Trump’s parade was a waste of money

There are much better things the money could have been spent on.

“I hope you do not think I am going soft on Trump if I tell you that I thoroughly enjoyed the entire parade,” Max Boot writes. http://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/202…

It’s still a poor use of federal funds. Let’s see if Trump really reimburses DC for any damage to the streets.

New York’s Pigeon Fest

Thousands of people gathered on the High Line in New York on Saturday for Pigeon Fest, inspired by an artist’s sculpture and an appreciation for the city’s most resilient birds. The highlight for many was the pageant. See more photos. nyti.ms/4e5R2vD

Trump’s white nationalist policy – remigration

You may not have heard about the concept of remigration and Trump’s affinity for it and there’s a reason why:

Schumer still doesn’t get it

What is he doing to help? He should be replaced as minority leader with someone who will do more to fight back against Trump.

I joined 8,000 environmental leaders to push back on Trump's “Big, Ugly Betrayal."The GOP plan raises taxes on energy, increases costs for families and businesses, and kills hundreds of thousands of good-paying jobs to give tax breaks to billionaires. We won't stop fighting back.

Mike Lee, Bernie Moreno and more right wing liars lie about the accused Minnesota assassin

He is a Trump supporter, not a Marxist. They know better and are lying.

It’s not just Mike Lee — Bernie Moreno is pretending that a registered Republican evangelical anti-abortion Trump voter who assassinated a Democrat and had more on his hit list is a representative of “the extreme left”

Kevin M. Kruse (@kevinmkruse.bsky.social) 2025-06-15T19:56:10.662Z

It's impressive how the Republicans like Mike Lee who cape as the most "principled, moral, and historically informed" of the bunch turn out to be the most shameless, lying propagandists.

MAGA knows the killer was one of their own. They lie and say he was a Democrat because the truth makes them look bad. It’s not about facts. It’s about poison. Lie fast, lie loud, and count on people to forget the correction. It doesn’t matter if it’s true. What matters is how it feels to their base.

You may wonder why Don Jr. and a few Republicans in Congress are calling Boelter a leftist when people close to him say he was a Trump and InfoWars fan. #Misinformation is most effective when it is early. It gets harder to convince someone to change their mind as time goes on.

Trump administration has made plans to take Greenland by force if necessary

Trump’s idea to takeover Greenland is ridiculous.

SMITH: Is it policy of the DoD that we need to be prepared to take Greenland by force if necessary?HEGSETH: The American people would want the Pentagon to have plans for any particular contingencyS: I don't think the American people elected Trump because they were hoping we'd invade Greenland

Aaron Rupar (@atrupar.com) 2025-06-12T14:50:16.479Z

holy shit — GOP Rep. Mike Turner tries to "help out" Hegseth by getting him to confirm that the Pentagon does not in fact have plans to take Greenland by force, but Hegseth instead more or less testifies that yep, they have devised plans for that

Trump’s attacks on the national parks

I asked the Interior Secretary FOUR times in the span of a minute to confirm how many park superintendents have left. No answer. Reports indicate there are nearly 100 sites across the U.S. with vacancies — and the agency’s reckless approach is creating dire consequences.
