I remember the China Doll restaurant on the 400 block of Park Avenue in Baltimore. I ate there at least once. When I moved to Baltimore in 1976, Chinese restaurants like China Doll served chow mein and chop suey. The first Szechuan restaurant I can recall was Szechuan in Federal Hill. Then there was Uncle Lee’s on Greenmount Avenue. These two restaurants were a revelation.

Covers: Forever Young
I am not a big fan of Bob Dylan’s “Forever Young” but I liked the Rhiannon Giddens/Iron & Wine cover which I just heard for the first time yesterday.
