A Trump-Biden debate would be pointless

I agree with a lot of this column. I think a debate would be pointless because:

  1. Trump would like. He lies more than in 2016 because he has over 3 years of his administration to lie about. If the moderator corrects the lie, Trump will say they are biased. If Biden corrects the lie, it cuts into his time to present his ideas.
  2. Trump will insult Biden – “Sleepy Joe” or whatever name he is using on Biden then. Why should anyone put up with this?
