This is a great record. I am glad Pitchfork reminded us of it (again).
Television's debut remains a singular achievement that transcends the punk label https://t.co/ceWeEcN2OC

Forty-five years ago Television released their towering, harrowing, spiritually ecstatic debut LP 'Marquee Moon'. Over at the Ringer, I wrote about this strange and singular masterpiece, the fractious personalities behind it and its still unsettled legacy. https://t.co/xZcU4JcNNV

From the deliriously amoral riff factory of the opener “See No Evil” to the majestic-guitar-showcase of the title track to the cosmic empathy of "Guiding Light", Television’s ‘Marquee Moon’ is the LP that smuggled the Dead into punk rock before the Meat Puppets had the chance to.

33. Television- Marquee Moon(1977)
Originally a photo, Richard Lloyd had a colour photocopy done of the photo and the band preferred that to the original. It gives them this creepy, unnatural look that works perfectly with the strange, unique music inside pic.twitter.com/evm8AlLNPz
