Nevada Republican Party chair @McDonaldNV defended the Nevada GOP sending fraudulent elector documents to federal government. There MUST be a criminal investigation into this to see if crimes committed. Today's GOP has chosen Trump over democracy! https://t.co/5OgLaeoipf

Short(ish) thread on one interesting detail concerning the bizarre falsified elector documents Republicans sent in to the National Archives in various Biden-won states after the 2020 election, falsely asserting that those states had chosen Republican/Trump electors:

The plan, the plot, was that the phony documents from Trump electors would help VP Pence say on Jan. 6, per the Eastman memo and backed up by Rosen's DOJ, that due to competing slates and claims, there was no clear winner in those states, so he wouldn't count those states' votes.

Makes you wonder how there could 𝙣𝙤𝙩 have been a conspiracy or attempt by Trump or Eastman and others to "corruptly … obstruct[], influence[], or impede[]" the electoral-vote count proceedings within the meaning of 18 U.S.C. § 1512(c)(2). https://t.co/gKrrx3L080 https://t.co/MoMj3pBwZl
