He’s far from perfect but he doesn’t get credit for what he has done and is still working on.
It is hard to find a more consensus figure in American journalism than Marvin Kalb, formerly of CBS and NBC News.

He is now telling the American press that its lust to show how it can be critical of Biden is distorting the news and hurting the country. https://t.co/XgRqgoJv4g
If this deal passes, Biden will have inked wins on:
— Sahil Kapur (@sahilkapur) July 30, 2022
Drug pricing
Climate/ACA $$
Higher taxes on corporations
$1.9T Covid rescue plan
$1.2T infrastructure law
New gun law
Chips/China bill
KBJ on SCOTUS
73+ lower court judges
VAWA re-up
Postal reform
This is not a trivial agenda.
What have we done?

With the American Rescue Plan, the Infrastructure bill, and the climate/drug bill, in 2 years Dems have invested 2 1/2 to 3 times as much as the ENTIRE New Deal AND Interstate Highway System COMBINED.
1/7
My unpopular take for today is that President Biden has passed far more major bipartisan legislation than seemed possible two years ago, and has vindicated his campaign’s argument that his experience as a longtime senator will help him pursue a successful legislative agenda.

This is such an excellent read by @djrothkopf! It is kind of astounding how little credit Biden gets for all the things he has done right. This is a great example of how hard @POTUS is working to repair the damage Trump did to US interests abroad and set us up for the future! https://t.co/FW8nDXRC6w

What if two years ago, I told you that by the end of Biden's first two years:
— Chris Murphy (@ChrisMurphyCT) July 21, 2022
– 10 million new jobs
– 3.6% unemployment
– 86% drop in COVID death rate
– biggest ever infrastructure bill PASSED
– first gun safety bill in 30 yrs PASSED
(wait, just getting started…keep reading)
US has countless emergencies. But also true:
— James Fallows (@JamesFallows) August 2, 2022
-Gas prices falling 6 weeks straight;
-Still historically strong job market;
-Zawahiri;
-Support for UKR;
-Schumer/Manchin/Biden accord
Coverage shld reflect both sides, bad + good. Not just 'Dems in disarray' 'New failure for Biden'
