Welcome to our 🧵on clean indoor air! Each Monday we’ll post threads about indoor air quality (IAQ) and its significance to health. We’ll cover the composition of air, how to measure harmful elements, and how to improve unhealthy indoor air. 1/6#IAQ #IndoorAir #AirQuality pic.twitter.com/eZU7QuzM7y

Excellent support for the use of air cleaners (HEPA and #CorsiRosenthalBox) to increase the ventilation rate. It is pretty simple. “Distribute + Dilute + Remove“ to decrease both short-range and long-range transmission. https://t.co/zlnv2RNxmq

It is past time to take steps to clean indoor air. Humans take 22,000 breaths per day. Air is the #1 exposure route to all pollution and pathogens. Why are we not taking the necessary steps to clean indoor air? Public health benefits will extend well beyond COVID-19.(4/4)

Throughout the epidemic, there have been efforts to make this about personal responsibility—started w masking/distancing—> get vaxx —> ‘you do you’

While we were left to solve an epidemic as individuals, where were the efforts at improving systems, such as upgrading ventilation?
It's time to pay attn to indoor air quality, much like we do for outdoor air, or water. We spend 90% of our time indoors, and clean air is essential for our health and wellbeing. With thanks to @linseymarr @j_g_allen @CorsIAQ @kprather88 and @WBahnfleth https://t.co/P3JQTSDTQU
