"Durbin…estimated that fewer than 20 of Biden’s nominees have received green lights from the GOP, while Democrats provided more than 110 for Trump’s judicial picks during his time in office." Yet Durbin, like other Senate Ds, is reluctant to change the practice. https://t.co/fcqZZiMePR

In today's Senate Judiciary Committee meeting, Dick Durbin says Dem senators signed 110 blue slips in the Trump admin. As in, Dems allowed Trump's judicial picks from their states to move forward that many times.

GOP senators have signed 17 blue slips so far in the Biden admin.
Time to end the blue slip requirement. Period. https://t.co/ZTTmNV9OfX

You can be sure that if Senate Democrats employed the blue slip on district judges as aggressively and egregiously as Republicans, the Republicans would blow up the blue slip in a nanosecond. As they did for appeals court judges. https://t.co/XbcmeoxrFg

There is no reason for @SenatorDurbin and @HouseJudiciary to allow this abuse to continue. We're proud to stand with 32 other civil rights organizations urging Sen. Durbin to either reform or get rid of blue slips to restore a judiciary that delivers justice for all. (3/3) pic.twitter.com/wd5yg6ftiS

I asked Durbin last week if he's frustrated by Republicans not turning in blue slips for Biden's court picks, effectively tanking their nominations.

“Of course I’m frustrated!”
Frustrated enough to nix the blue slip rule?
“We’re not at that point yet." https://t.co/wWvPJTx3Vz
