The Supreme Court lets Trump do whatever he wants

The ignore laws and precedent to give Trump a blank check.

Supreme Court rules 6-3 that congressional appropriations are optional: http://www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/24p…

Why doesn’t the Supreme Court save us time and tell us if there’s anything Trump isn’t allowed to do? I bet they would even approve of him shooting someone on 5th Avenue. Alito and Thomas would blame the victim for being in the way of the bullet.

Budget agreements with Trump are worthless

It looks like Trump's hand picked Supreme Court isn't going to stop him from rescinding money that Congress already agreed to use.How can Democrats agree to a Republican budget that lets Trump delete the parts of it he doesn't like?

Elizabeth Warren (@warren.senate.gov) 2025-09-27T15:37:39.737Z

Any budget agreement with Trump is now worthless. He’ll do whatever he wants and his Supreme Court (R) will support him.

Crockett: "What assurances do we have if we entered into an agreement with these Republicans that they wouldn't go back on their word and just say, 'Oh yeah, we'll sign off on a rescissions package'"

Are they dumb or lying?

Trump and his officials sometimes say they don’t know about something they clearly should have heard of. Are they dumb or lying? I think they are lying. They just don’t want to offend their bigoted cult or discuss things that would make them look bad.

KAMLAGER-DOVE: Dylan Roof, who followed white supremacist propaganda, murdered 9 Black parishioners in 2015. Do you deny this?PATEL: I'm sorry. Dylan Roof? Can you give me more information?KAMLAGER-DOVE: You're head of the FBI

Aaron Rupar (@atrupar.com) 2025-09-17T17:02:04.017Z

I think he’s lying and does know about Roof. He wouldn’t want to criticize Roof because it would probablyupset Trump and his bigoted supporters.

Terrible AP article

The fact that Trump’s allegations are bogus is important! Don’t bury it.

It takes the AP until the eighth paragraph to point out that the evidence appears to undercut Trump's fraud claims. That is pathetic. It should be in the first paragraph.apnews.com/article/supr…

My comment on the AP’s post of the article:

Your article takes until the eighth paragraph to point out that Trump's allegations about Cook appear to be undercut by documents. This should be much higher in the story. If there is no fraud, Trump has no basis to remove her.

Polls show a continued decline in Trump’s popularity

Trump and his authoritarian rule are unpopular

trump approval hits a new low in today's yougov/economist poll. now worse than he was in yougov's data at this point in 2017 http://www.economist.com/interactive/…

Assume polling is going to be bouncy these next few weeks but in the Economist/YouGov weekly track Trump's job approval with adults went from -13 (41-54) last week to -18 this week (39-57). He's -50 with independents, 19-69.

Simon Rosenberg (@simonwdc.bsky.social) 2025-09-16T14:14:45.098Z

The poll also finds that 67% of voters disapprove of the way Trump is handling the cost of living- up from his already very high disapproval on the issue this summer. The cost of living is the number one issue for voters across the country.
