Trump lies about the Associated Press (AP)

He lost the case.

The AP pushes back:"In fact, the AP won its case against Trump, but the president successfully earned a delay in getting the ruling enforced before the U.S. Court of Appeals considers the issue. Arguments on the president's appeal are scheduled for November."apnews.com/article/ap-t…

Trump: "We got sued by the Associated Press, and they lost. In fact, the judge was so good he said, 'He's calling it the Gulf of America. He's got all the approvals' … they got thrown out of court. In fact, they're almost not allowed to cover me anymore because of that. It was a big hit."

A Trump coin would be illegal

This administration doesn’t care and nobody will stop them.

It is not clear that Mr. Trump’s image can be featured on a coin. An 1866 law enshrined a tradition that only deceased people could appear on U.S. currency to avoid the appearance that America was a monarchy. Trump admin is planning to do it anyway.By Alan Rappeportwww.nytimes.com/2025/10/03/b…

The only thing I can conclude from this is that the U.S. Treasury Dept. is planning on doing something pretty drastic to ensure they comply with U.S. code.

Thomas Pynchon’s “Low-lands”

I have been thinking about Thomas Pynchon a lot recently since his new novel will be released on Tuesday, October 7th,

Here are the front and back covers of a literary magazine, New World Writing, from 1960 that included Pynchon’s “Low-lands”. The story was later included in his 1984 collection Slow Learner. The story includes the character Pig Bodine who also appears in Pynchon’s novels V. and Gravity’s Rainbow.

The Trump administration violates the Hatch act with web pages and out of office messages about the shutdown

They are lying too.

Go to hud.gov and use the website feedback button to tell them the website is for all Americans and to take down this partisan propaganda. #ThisIsTrumpsShutdown

The Supreme Court lets Trump do whatever he wants

The ignore laws and precedent to give Trump a blank check.

Why doesn’t the Supreme Court save us time and tell us if there’s anything Trump isn’t allowed to do? I bet they would even approve of him shooting someone on 5th Avenue. Alito and Thomas would blame the victim for being in the way of the bullet.

Budget agreements with Trump are worthless

It looks like Trump's hand picked Supreme Court isn't going to stop him from rescinding money that Congress already agreed to use.How can Democrats agree to a Republican budget that lets Trump delete the parts of it he doesn't like?

Elizabeth Warren (@warren.senate.gov) 2025-09-27T15:37:39.737Z

Any budget agreement with Trump is now worthless. He’ll do whatever he wants and his Supreme Court (R) will support him.

Are they dumb or lying?

Trump and his officials sometimes say they don’t know about something they clearly should have heard of. Are they dumb or lying? I think they are lying. They just don’t want to offend their bigoted cult or discuss things that would make them look bad.

Terrible AP article

The fact that Trump’s allegations are bogus is important! Don’t bury it.

It takes the AP until the eighth paragraph to point out that the evidence appears to undercut Trump's fraud claims. That is pathetic. It should be in the first paragraph.apnews.com/article/supr…

Harris Levy (@harrislevy.bsky.social) 2025-09-18T16:39:00.477Z

My comment on the AP’s post of the article:

Your article takes until the eighth paragraph to point out that Trump's allegations about Cook appear to be undercut by documents. This should be much higher in the story. If there is no fraud, Trump has no basis to remove her.
