How am I supposed to unify with people who don’t accept basic facts?
'Asked to describe what happened during the assault on the Capitol, 58% of Trump voters call it "mostly an antifa-inspired attack that only involved a few Trump supporters."'

Not sure how democracy, or truth or facts, survive in such an era. Seriously.https://t.co/nkEA2pDhrh
The GOP is a counter-majoritarian party. Because it's counter-majoritarian it is also counter-factual, as with its claims of voter fraud. The conflict with honest journalism is structural. In train for decades, the policy is clear and open: the party stands for freedom from fact. pic.twitter.com/40IZA0621T

The elected Republicans are just as bad as their voters. They are still spreading the big lie about the election. TV networks should not put liars on their programs. There is no incentive for them to stop lying.

This version of the Big Lie is what i call High Hawley-ism, that it's all about how states expanded voting in the midst of a pandemic. It's disingenuous nonsense. But.. https://t.co/CLFhOhvQvi

Scalise is saying that America isn’t a democracy. That’s become the new standard of the Republican Party. Not since 1860’s has a large part of the country refused to accept election. The Republican Party is an anti-democratic force. Acknowledge that reality. Fight it. https://t.co/UXEo0byliK

The GOP has lost control of the forces it has long encouraged, as we move into a world where democracies have fewer and fewer gatekeepers.

Many/most Republicans believe that Capitol Rioters were both "mostly peaceful" and "left-wingers trying to make Trump look bad," according to this Axios/Ipsos poll.
