Wall Street is investing in music

They’re buying up the catalogs of geezer musicians from my day. I don’t like the idea of big companies owning music but it’s hard to blame the artists for cashing in.

I saw this tweet on Jesse Ed Davis today. He played on a lot of great albums.

The Bob Dylan Center is having an exhibit on him starting on November 15, 2024.

RIP Wes Freed

Wes Freed was an artist best known for album covers, posters, and t-shirt designs for the Drive-By Truckers. His art was a great match for their music.

Tiny Tim

Tiny Tim was a unique musician who had 15 minutes of fame in the late 1960s. He had one hit record with an old song, “Tiptoe Through the Tulips” (1968), and appeared on Rowan and Martin’s Laugh-In. His wedding was televised on the Tonight Show. in 1969. If you didn’t live through this era, I can’t explain this to you.
