An immaculate inning is when a pitcher throws nine pitches and gets three strikeouts. It’s only been done 116 times. It is rarer than a no-hitter (326 times).
Update – Andrew Kittredge threw one on August 6, 2025.

I love mascots. I watched the Orioles-Braves game in Atlanta on TV and saw the mascots race.
A 19-inning game known as the Rick Camp game after a pitcher (lifetime .060 hitter) who hit a home run in the 18th
I live in Baltimore. I heard on the radio that the heat index at the start of tonight’s Orioles game will be 111. That doesn’t sound safe for players or fans.
I think the next Orioles stadium will be domed as a response to the heat and located in the suburbs to appease the part of their fan base (that pays attention to right-wing media) that thinks downtown is unsafe. They would also find more room in the suburbs to build around the stadium.

Pimlico, home of the Preakness in Baltimore, is being torn down and rebuilt. I found out about the auction from this article:
Pimlico Race Course is full of artifacts. Where will they go when it is razed?
Here are the auction site photos of the items I won.

White teller window bars (photos from govdeals.com)
Photos I took at Pimlico on June 3, 2025:
The two seats and two teller window bars that I won at the auction. I am working on getting stands so I can put the seats upright. They don’t have feet because they were attached to concrete.
