examples of people who benefitted from the lottery
Hello yes I won the Diversity Lottery. The gov't of my country of birth did not even know I entered, I did not need their clearance and certainly was not encouraged by them. I DID however need the US's clearance, which took time effort money and background checks. FWIW.

When @Abdi_Iftin won the U.S. Diversity Visa lottery, he chose June 20, #WorldRefugeeDay, as his birthday. Today he reminds us that "the luckiest people are those who get to be born in free and peaceful countries."https://t.co/dUhw0m9FSt

I've been a citizen from diversity lottery for 18 years now. Not a single speeding ticket. Somehow I've become the "absolute worst". Hard to swallow @realDonaldTrump. There are hundreds of thousands like me. #VoteThemOut https://t.co/CensihGtti
