Doctor Clayton’s 1941 record became Pat Hare’s “I’m Gonna Murder My Baby” in 1954. Hare’s chilling recording wasn’t released until 1990. The amazing thing is that Hare later did it – he killed his girlfriend in 1963!
John Prine recorded “Souvenirs” on his 1972 album Diamond in the Rough. He re-recorded it in 2000. Jason Isbell just covered it.
The 1970 Baltimore Orioles (108-54) were the best team in Orioles history. They won the World Series on October 15, 1970 over the Reds in five games.
In 2010, the Orioles celebrated the 40th anniversary of the 1970 team. They brought players from the team back and introduced them before the game See the pictures of a signed picture I got at the game (only 70 made, $500) and the jersey Bobby Grich wore at the ceremony (which I bought on eBay). I also have a signed print of the World Series trophy.
