“We’re Gonna Make It” was recorded in 1965 by Little Milton who was born in September 7, 1934. I’m glad that Taj Mahal remembered it and covered it in 1995.

RIP Wes Freed
Wes Freed was an artist best known for album covers, posters, and t-shirt designs for the Drive-By Truckers. His art was a great match for their music.

The Orioles set a modern record for runs allowed. I watched this one on TV in a bar and couldn’t believe what I was seeing. The Orioles actually had a 3-0 lead. It was the first game of a doubleheader and the Orioles gave up nine more runs in the second game.
Roberto Clemente – born 8/18/34
How great was Roberto Clemente? He played in 14 World Series games and got hits in all of them. I saw him play in the last game of the 1971 National League Championship Series.
