The only AL team in history with more HRs in a month than the Orioles' 60 this June are the Yankees, who hit 74 in Aug. 2019.

But the Yankees had the benefit of playing against the 108-loss Orioles in 2019.

I saw Kinky Friedman on 9/30/89

I saw Kinky Friedman once on September 30, 1989 at 8×10 in Baltimore. He did a book signing before his concert performance. I had four of his novels and got them signed.

I went to the bathroom before the show. The stall was in the back and there was no door on it. I could see that Kinky was on the toilet. He saw me and said, “Hi Harris, come on in!”

The Orioles, Tigers and Pirates have all had two #1 overall picks recently. Where are the other two teams. The Orioles have done well on picks that weren’t #1 overall – Jorand Westburg was #30 and Gunnar Henderson was #42.
