Trump trashes American allies and the only Republican who speaks up is John McCain. They, as well as Trump will be held accountable for the failures of this administration. They spoke up a little against Trump’s tariffs and “spygate” but have been mostly silent on his lies and bigotry. Disgraceful!
The silence of Cong GOPers not named McCain is obviously not surprising anymore but is there any limit for them? It’s a fight with Canada and the rest of the G6, only the most important allies of this country. Is the rest of the GOP using “stunned silence” as their “comment”?

Worst are the Republicans in Congress. Will sell out all American fundamental values for a tax cut and judges. Will sit back while we destroy our standing in the world and promote our enemies. Will confirm crooks and liars. Beyond disgraceful, starting w Ryan and McConnell https://t.co/T2xqzumCXT

The silence from GOP leadership, unwilling to stand up to Trump, for our alliances, tells us all we need to know.
The @GOP leadership would rather help Putin achieve his goals, than keep Trump in check.
If they won't stand up to him on Putin, they won't stand up to him for you.

God help us. Their silence is damning enough. But the Senate Majority Leader calling this the best time ever for conservatives is vile. History will be brutal in its telling of their cowardice. https://t.co/S1KPkyv6Um

Do not forget the racism: the proposed banning of all Muslims from America, the defense of white supremacy after Charlottesville, calling Hispanics “breeders”, Mexicans “rapists”, all majority black countries “shitholes.” Mitch calls this conservatism at its best?
Really, Mitch? https://t.co/OUXggsETk9— Joe Scarborough (@JoeNBC) June 10, 2018

Today feels like a turning point – the Western alliance and the global trading system are coming under the same intense strain that Trump has created for our domestic institutions. Will Congressional Rs continue to stand by, paralyzed by fears of their base?
— Brendan Nyhan (@BrendanNyhan) June 10, 2018
This IS your party. And it's a culmination of years of the GOP exploiting racism and playing to extremists. Trump is not your problem. Your base is the problem. And your pleas for decency & common sense are not enough to change this. https://t.co/mfgF1gozU8

Our president has been compromised by Russia. Every Republican that sits back and watches him bend over backwards for them has also been compromised by Russia. I understand voting 4 change. I don’t understand how anyone in this country is ok w/ our president kissing Putin’s ass.
