Covers: Hot Fun in the Summertime
“Hot Fun in the Summertime” (1969) is one of the many great songs by Sly and the Family Stone. I saw them twice in concert and they were incredible. There aren’t a lot of covers because nobody could match the original version.
Covers: Fortune Teller
“Fortune Teller” was written by Allen Toussaint and recorded by Benny Spellman in 1962 (with Toussaint producing). The Rolling Stones and the Who are among the artists who have covered it.
