They enable his bigotry. History will not be kind to the only people who could have done something to rein Trump in.

The feeling that whites are losing out was a more accurate predictor of voting for Trump than economic difficulties.
I don’t think it matters whether or not there is a tape of Trump using the N-word.
If you already think he’s a racist (like I do), you don’t need more proof.
On the other side, if you’re willing to overlook Charlottesville and Trump’s other displays of racism, you would overlook this too.
This is an excellent column by Jamil Smith
from the column: “Americans are plagued by the belief that racism is best proven through speech. If there is no recording of a store clerk or police officer (or president) using a racial slur, then there’s nothing to discuss. Defining racism as who does or does not say “nigger,” for instance, boils bigotry down to mere language rather than realizing it is a more silent and comprehensive web of oppression.”
Just in case you didn’t know he was a racist
It doesn’t matter if there’s a tape of Trump saying the N word. He has already repeated proven he’s a racist.
If there is a tape, it won’t change the mind of Trump supporters. Either they are racists too or willing to tolerate his racism to get conservative judges and tax cuts.
Not all Trump supporters are racist but it sure looks like many of them are. Trump is clearly a racist.
“Overall, 83 percent of Republicans approve of the president’s handling of racial issues, including 44 percent who strongly approve. And 90 percent of Democrats disapprove, including 80 percent who strongly disapprove.”
Some of the CEOs who quit Trump’s advisory boards after Trump’s poor response to Charlottesville recently dined with him. They should be ashamed. Trump’s behavior hasn’t changed. Look at his comments on Maxine Waters, LeBron James and the NFL. He’s still a racist. They shouldn’t dine with him which makes it seem like they are comfortable with his behavior and comments
This isn’t much better than “very fine people” on both sides from last year. One side (Nazis and racists) was wrong. Not both sides. No equivalency. Trump will not condemn the Nazis because they are part of his base.
Trump supporters don’t understand that he’s a racist because his bigotry is not directed against them.
