I am sure he has told this lie dozens of times. Does anyone ever correct him to his face?

Trump lies that he got Veterans Choice passed after others had tried for almost 50 years, though Choice was a Sanders-McCain bill signed into law by Obama in 2014, and he's said this more than 142 times and how do I not have a keyboard hot key for this yet

Film: Why Don’t You Just Die!

Why Don’t You Just Die? is a 2018 Russian film recently released on Blu-ray by Arrow Video. It’s my favorite film that I have seen so far this year. It’s an amazing combination of humor and gruesome violence. Almost everyone lies about really important things with disastrous consequences.

The song “Fuck You” by the Hatters plays over the credits. It’s a lot of fun, too.

Blobfest 2020: The Home Edition

Blobfest is an annual celebration of the 1958 film The Blob. It is held in Phoenixville, PA where most of the movie was filmed. The best part is that you can watch the film in the theater that is in the movie. I have been four times. They always show double bills of The Blob and a similar film from that era. Blobfest raises money for the Colonial Theatre and I encourage you to support it.

This year, Blobfest will be virtual.

The Criterion Collection has excellent Blu-Ray and DVD releases of the film.

Bonnie Pointer

Bonnie Pointer, one of the Pointer Sisters who left the group for a solo career, died recently. In the late 1970s, she released two albums on Motown of mostly 1960s Motown covers backed by musicians including James Jamerson and Eddie Hazel. Both albums were called Bonnie Pointer.

I am not a disco fan but many of the tracks were excellent because of her singing. “Heaven Must Have Sent You”, a 1978 cover of a song originally recorded by the Elgins, was the most popular. There are two mixes including a disco 12″ version.

This is the second album. Great early Motown songs.
