Thomas Pynchon has been notoriously opposed to being photographed. For his second book, The Crying of Lot 49, the dust jacket of the first printing has a black space where the author’s picture should be. See the photo below from an Abebooks.com listing.
I have a copy of a later printing. There are now reviews where the black space was.

I agree with this assessment. A Night in Casablanca was much better than I expected it to be. It’s not as good as the five Paramount films or A Night at the Opera but it’s clearly preferable to At The Circus, Go West or The Big Store. It was recently released on Blu-ray.
Evangelicals and Republicans (which have a big overlap) include people who won’t take the vaccine.
One reason I still wear a mask even though I am fully vaccinated is to encourage others to wear one. When I walk outside, strangers who see me don’t know that I have received the vaccine. If I don’t wear a mask, it may reinforce the thinking of others who don’t wear one.
It’s unreal that Trump’s cult members never blame him for anything.
We’ll never have any unity in the US until the Trump cult accepts basic facts like Trump lost a fair election and that the insurrection was done by Trump supporters, not Antifa. We are now months after both events so I doubt their opinions will ever change. I fault Republican leaders for not doing more to get their voters to understand the truth.
About 10 years ago, I was in a class on working in a multi-generational workforce. Each table of students had people from different age groups. One assignment was to write down several events that you considered important and someone else at your table would read it. A young black woman wrote down the assassination of Biggie and 2Pac. An older white guy read it as the assassination of Biggie and ZPac.
I’m an old white guy and I can’t tell you the name of any of 2Pac’s songs. However, he was a prominent artist and I think everyone should know who he was. I would certainly recognize pictures of him. He even had a Baltimore connection. He lived here for four years.
