Good for David Hogg for fighting back against Laura Ingraham’s cheap insults by listing her advertisersand advising his followers to contact them. At least 15 companies have pulled their ads from her show.
Ingraham has apologized but Hogg rejected it.
It’s not surprising that Russian bots are supporting Ingraham on Twitter.

A conservative website said that Congressman Steve King (Republican-Iowa) was facing arrest because of derogatory comments about Emma Gonzalez. Not true!
This is just another example of conservatives who will lie instead of having a serious discussion on gun safety.

Some conservatives are all for states rights…except when they’re not. The concealed carry bill passed by the House of Representatives would allow people from states which allow people to carry a concealed weapon to also carry it in states that don’t permit this. This is a bad idea.
I wonder if they would apply the same rules to marijuana. If you were from a state where pot is legal, you could smoke it anywhere. I bet they don’t want that so they would defend the state marijuana laws.
Note: the article I linked to was written before the Florida mass shooting but I doubt concealed carry supporters have changed their minds. In fact, Trump wants concealed carry in schools for trained people.
A right-wing site said the march was planned before the Parkland shooting. That is disgusting. Let’s stick to discussing the gun safety issues instead of lying about the children.

According to this article on Vox: “Black survivors of the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, say that the gun control debate that has been raging since the tragedy has largely overlooked them — and argue that recent moves to increase school safety by increasing security would actually put them more at risk.”

Retired Supreme Court Justice Stevens ignited a controversy by calling for the repeal of the Second Amendment in a New York Times opinion column.
Trump tweeted that the Second Amendment will never be repealed and he is right.

Stevens’s appeal is not helpful to meaningful discussions on gun control. It feeds into right-wing paranoia. Most people do not want to repeal the Second Amendment. I would vote in favor of it but it’s not a priority since it would never have much support.) That’s not the issue. Gun control advocates want universal background checks, bans on assault weapons and other specific items that would reduce gun violence. This is just a distraction. Sad!
