Trump keeps lying and blaming Democrats on immigration

Trump keeps spewing lies and hatred on immigration.

Now, he claims the media is helping “smugglers and traffickers”.

The link above connects to ongoing notes on his speech this morning.

The majority does not want the wall

Trump is using the one unpopular policy (separating families) to push another one (the wall).

Trump defiant on immigration

This is an amazing article.

some quotes from the article:

“Trump has been closely monitoring the coverage but has been suspicious of it, telling associates he believes that the media cherry-picks the most dramatic images and stories to portray his administration in a negative light, according to one senior administration official.
The images in the media contrast with more positive photos that Trump’s aides have shown the president depicting detained children smiling, playing video games and exercising outside, said the official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to be candid.”

“The White House distributed more than 3,000 words of talking points to Republican allies under the headline “Congressional Democrats’ Policies Are Responsible for the Border Crisis and Family Separations.” The talking points — which included repeated false claims and said that children were being treated well, calling reports of inhumane treatment “bunk” — were largely greeted with amazement, according to senior Republican aides. “

“The president considers immigration a winning issue for him politically, advisers said. He has complained repeatedly in recent months that he looks “weak” on border enforcement and has been concerned that his base could turn on him for not being tougher, according to a senior administration official.”

Remember, he said the NFL protests was a winning issue for him.  He only cares about winning, not about right and wrong.

Some prominent Republicans are critical of Trump’s family separation policy. Trump won’t care.

Here’s a summary about prominent Republicans who oppose the policy.

Trump won’t care.  The majority of Republican voters support it and Trump only cares about his base.  He’ll use this to tell Republican politicians that they must support his policy.  Read this article which shows that he will focus on issues like immigration, no tax cuts, to energize his base.

Outrageous comments by the right on Trump’s immigration policy

This is disgusting and pathetic.  They can’t even accept reality, let alone discuss it.  They follow Trump who has lied non-stop by blaming his policy on Democrats.

Limbaugh says it’s a made up crisis and that people are trying to invade the US:

Ann Coulter calls crying children “child actors”:

Trump lied when he said crime was up in Germany and blamed it on immigrants

First, I think what happens in Germany is none of his business.  We see how he reacts when anyone criticizes him.

Crime in Germany is down – see the AP Fact check.  This is just Trump spewing lies and bigotry.  He is encouraging nationalism in Germany.

Trump’s policy on separating families of illegal immigrants is unpopular

Here’s the CNN poll which shows the majority of Republicans approve of Trump’s policy but overall, two-thirds of the country does not approve.

Trump is using taking children from parents as a political tool

Trump is using the horrible treatment of children as a political tool.  There’s no limit to how low he will go.  Of course, he keeps lying about his policy and blaming it on Democrats.

Separating parents from children at the border is Trump’s policy, not a law

Trump and his supporters are lying when they say separating parents from children is following a Democratic law.  It’s Trump’s policy.  I guess they’re not proud of it so they won’t admit it.
