Trump and Kanye West

An excellent tweet:

and this response:

Why Trump hasn’t spoken or tweeted about the Waffle House murders

An excellent opinion column that states:

“The explanation for Trump’s relative silence is obvious. Trump, his advisers, his political party and their media allies have thrived on their contempt for the humanity, dignity, and freedom of black and brown people. Honoring a black man for stopping an armed white man during what may have been a racially motivated killing spree runs counter to Donald Trump’s political worldview and personal morality.”

Sad!

Trump has said nothing about the Waffle House shooting

Trump has not tweeted or said anything about the Waffle House shooting or the hero who prevented more people from being killed.  It would be different if the killer was black and the victims were white.  It is so obvious Trump is a racist but his supporters either agree with him or ignore it.  Both responses are disgusting.

Trump did have time to offer sympathy for the victims in Toronto but won’t address issues in his own country.

There appear to be mental health issues with the alleged killer but this should also be considered an act of terrorism.

Trump could learn a lot from James Shaw Jr., the courageous and humble hero.  Instead, he won’t even acknowledge what he did.  Sad!

Update: The NRA said the hero should have used a gun

Republicans want to repeal safeguards against racial discrimination in auto loans

“The Senate is on the verge of getting rid of a consumer protection measure meant to stop car dealers from charging more for car loans based on race. And the vote is just the start of lawmakers’ attempts to target years of federal agencies’ decisions through the Congressional Review Act, the GOP’s new favorite deregulatory toy.”

Sad!

White gangs

This tweet and the article it links to make the excellent point that white gangs get less punishment and media coverage.
