It is very bad right now. Trump made 268 false claims in September, tied for June as his third-most-dishonest month. #1 and #2? August and July. Here's the chart of his false claims by week: pic.twitter.com/mIq6lXhsKF

Republicans are fine with Trump’s corrupt activities
Trump’s Iowa rally 10/9/18
The usual lies over and over.
Daniel Dale’s thread:
Trump lies about Medicare
Trump wrote a column in today’s USA Today which is full of lies about both the Democratic and Republican positions on Medicare.
Look what Republicans did today:
Trump’s political event with Kavanaugh
Trump continues to politicize the Supreme Court. The TV event last night was totally inappropriate and unfair to the other justices who attended it.
Kavanaugh tried to say healing things and move on but Trump will continue to try to divide the country because he thinks it fires up his base. Trump has no interest in being president of the whole country – he only cares abut his cult. This is just like the 2016 election. Trump won but continues to whine and complain like a loser. He tried to make it seem that Kavanaugh, not Ford, was the victim.
He lied when he said Kavanaugh was proven innocent. That’s not true. The investigation was a sham. I hope Democrats dig further if they win the House and conduct the thorough investigation that should have been done before confirmation.
Trump lies about attendance at his Missouri rally
He lies about everything. He always wants to make the rally attendance sound big.
Trump wants to reinstate stop-and-frisk
Trump wants to reinstate stop-and-frisk policies. The way they were done in New York was unconstitutional and bigoted. His base will like the bigotry part.
What Trump got wrong about stop and frisk during the 2016 campaign.
from the article linked to above:
“Applied almost exclusively to minorities, the stop-and-frisk tactics in New York became an elephantine government project that wasted time and money, degrading both to the personhood of the men and women who were stopped and to the professionalism of the people doing the stopping.”
The way stop and frisk was carried out in New York was unconstitutional.
from the article:
“In 2013, U.S. District Court Judge Shira A. Scheindlin ruled that city police violated the U.S. Constitution in the way that it carried out its stop-and-frisk program, calling it “a form of racial profiling” of young black and Hispanic men. ”
This Washington Post article notes ” …there’s no real correlation between the use of stop-and-frisk and New York’s reduction in crime.”
Trump lies about Blumenthal
Senator Blumenthal lied about his military service. He did not serve in Viet Nam.
Trump has told outrageous lies that go far beyond the facts.
The news media must do more to challenge false statements, not just report them
