Trump’s racist lie about Bubba Wallace

Trump is supporting the Confederate flag, too. He’s a racist. No question about it. Sad!

1. Bubba Wallace, NASCAR’s only black driver, wasn’t the one who found and reported the pull rope that was tied like a noose.

2. The capitalized “Flag” he’s referring to here is the Confederate flag. https://t.co/CU263H7Z6g

Trump on Saturday: “We will not allow anyone to divide our citizens by race or background. We will not allow them to foment hate, discord and distrust. We will hold fast and true to the sacred loyalties that link us all as neighbors, as Americans and as patriots.” https://t.co/tNsCpWA0IA

How much of Trump's open embrace of the Confederacy right now is about ensuring the country remains ungovernable after he loses badly?
— emptywheel (@emptywheel) July 6, 2020

The president's attack on Bubba Wallace and his defense of the confederate flag were an overt display aimed at his white base of supporters, after a weekend during which he stuck to the script at his official events and broadly described "history" https://t.co/XyUjjF3LOo

Trump reminds the world daily that he is a racist running on racist positions employing racist rhetoric counting on the support of racists. Nothing is more core to who he is or to his campaign. More right wing nonsense about Antifa

A seminarian and associate pastor wearing a Black Lives Matter t-shirt was mistaken for an antifa flag-burner at Gettysburg National Park. Armed militia surrounded him. Federal agents escorted him out for his own safety as onlookers changed "USA!" "USA!" https://t.co/brt5XNgysA
— Shawn Boburg (@ShawnBoburg) July 5, 2020

The right wing extremists have guns again. How will they react in Trump loses the election.

A friend who works for a police department in Ohio said they received numerous calls today to investigate "Antifa dust" on the cars and driveways.

It's pollen.

And now I can't stop laughing about people calling the police on trees.
— Maggie Downs (@downsanddirty) June 23, 2020

Fact Checker: Who caused the violence at protests? It wasn’t antifa. https://t.co/owGf0qcaRy
— The Washington Post (@washingtonpost) June 22, 2020

This is important.

The Trump Admin’s own analysis suggests violent extremists (like the Boogaloo Bois) – not Antifa – pose the greatest risk of violence

The Trump Campaign is increasingly using Nazi-esque rhetoric to instead blame “Antifa”

SCOOP:

An internal Department of Homeland Security assessment of threats to law enforcement makes no mention of "Antifa."

It says "overall protest-related violence" has been "decreasing significantly."

Yet Trump's Antifa nonsense continues.

Trump lied in his July 4th address with the intention of misleading people about the coronavirus saying it's "harmless" in "99 percent of the cases." Reality: US has 2,811,447 cases of virus and 129,403 deaths, about 4.6 percent mortality.

Covers: I Shall Be Released

I’ve changed my mind many times on this but right now I think “I Shall Be Released” is Bob Dylan’s greatest song. It was originally recorded by Dylan and the Band as part of the Basement tapes in 1967 but wasn’t released then. The Band, with Richard Manuel on lead vocal, released it in 1968 on Music from Big Pink. Dylan released a new version in 1971 on Greatest Hits, Vol. II. It’s the final song in the film The Last Waltz.
