We should not forget them. The Democrats should do something similar to what Trump did in 2016 – they should invite the women to a general election debate to remind everyone what a bad person Trump is.
There is no link between undocumented immigrants and crime
Covers: Farther Along
“Farther Along” is a gospel song that was published in 1911.
Well known covers from the rock era include the Flying Burrito Brothers (1970) and the Byrds (1971). There are other versions I have linked to below.
Ike Turner rewrote it as “Father Alone” and recorded it in 1974
Trump makes political remarks to the National Association of Realtors
Trump has been running for re-election since he was inaugurated. He blurs the lines between political and presidential events by making political statements at speeches, for example, to the CIA and Boy Scouts.
He is addressing the National Association of Realtors today. I assume this is a presidential event since the White House is carrying it online. However, he talked about “fake news” which is clearly inappropriate. Taxpayers should not have to pay for this. I have written several tweets to news organizations suggesting that they write an article on how often he does this. We should never get used to this or accept it. Sad!
The media shouldn’t spread Trump’s nicknames for his opponents
The media helps Trump out by publicizing his immature and vile nicknames.
Trump lies about Flynn
He was warned several times not to hire Flynn. He’s just lying.
Covers: Dizzy Miss Lizzy
The Beatles were obviously very fond of Larry Williams. They covered three of his songs including “Dizzy Miss Lizzy”. The original is from 1958 and the Beatles version is from 1965. John Lennon also played it in Toronto in 1969.
Williams recorded for Specialty like Little Richard. His records are similar to Little Richard’s; they are loud and fast featuring the piano with more conventional vocals. “Dizzy Miss Lizzy” was not a big hit and only reached 69 on the Billboard chart.
If you are not familiar with him, I encourage you to listen to some of his recordings which are among the best of the original R&B/Rock and Roll of the 1950s. He is one of only five artists I can think of who was covered by the Beatles and the Rolling Stones.
Covers: Out On The Rolling Sea
Bahamian Joseph Spence recorded “Out On The Rolling Sea” in the 1960s and 1970s. Van Dyke Parks released a very syncopated elaborate version as a single in 1970.
Mail bomber compares attending a Trump rally to getting hooked on a “fun drug”
Trump’s hateful rhetoric is clearly inspiring dangerous white supremacist.
