Trump’s rhetoric empowers white supremacists

From this article: ““Clearly, the racist rhetoric throughout the presidential campaign and continuing into Trump’s administration has empowered white supremacist groups to be much more public,” says Michael German, who infiltrated neo-Nazi and militia groups as an FBI agent and is now a fellow at New York University’s Brennan Center for Justice. “It’s very dangerous because these people who have a history of violence now feel they have state sanction to commit violence.””

Bill Shine’s wife tweeted racist tweets

Bill Shine was recently appointed to a high-level job by Trump.  He resigned from Fox for during all of the sexual harassment problems there.  Now, we find that his wife tweeted racist tweets.  Of course, Trump won’t criticize her.

Trump’s racist attack on Maxine Waters

Trump’s comment was racist and based on nothing. I don’t see any Republican leaders objecting to it. They know their base has lots of racists in it who approve of Trump’s attacks.

He keeps doing it and no Republicans object to his racism.

The Trump administration attacks affirmative action

49% believe Trump is a racist

This is no surprise to me.  It’s been obvious – Central Park Five, birther movement, “very fine people”, etc.  And that’s just bigotry against African-Americans.

I assume most of the 47% who don’t think he’s a bigot are Trump supporters.  All Trump supporters are:

  1. bigots or
  2. willing to tolerate bigotry to get tax cuts, conservative justices or other agenda items

I think many of Trump’s white Christian supporters don’t understand bigotry because they never experienced it.  They just tune Trump’s racism out because it doesn’t apply to them.
