“The Cruelty Is the Point”

This column by Adam Serwer is excellent.

From the column:

“Even those who believe that Ford fabricated her account, or was mistaken in its details, can see that the president’s mocking of her testimony renders all sexual-assault survivors collateral damage. Anyone afraid of coming forward, afraid that she would not be believed, can now look to the president to see her fears realized. Once malice is embraced as a virtue, it is impossible to contain.”

Trump is withdrawing the US from another international organization

After Trump, if the next president wants to rejoin organizations and treaties, will anyone trust the US?

from the Washington Post

Republicans will try again to kill Obamacare after the midterms

Obamacare is more popular than ever but that doesn’t matter to McConnell.

Sleazy Trump business deals

First we read about the taxes, now sleazy business deals.   Just like the tax story, I doubt this will get much attention.  Trump cult members don’t care what he does.

from the article:

“It is becoming increasingly clear that, in the language of business schools, the Trump Organization’s core competency is in profiting from misrepresentation and deceit and, potentially, fraud.”

Republicans “angry mob” rhetoric is dangerous

I agree with this column.

In my opinion, Republicans can’t win on the issues (taxes, health care, Me Too, etc) so they resort to name calling and bigotry to rile up their base,

Trump on climate change

This is pathetic  He won’t believe the truth.  Trump will do nothing and the whole world will suffer from his inaction and ignorance.  Trump will do nothing about the UN report.

More bad immigration policies

Terrible Trump administration policies.
