Some Trump supporters won’t care if there was collusion

Some Trump supporters will excuse collusion with Russia since Trump won and Clinton lost.

No, it is not alright to meet with foreign people to get dirt on your opponent.

The goal posts are being moved to excuse any possible conspiracy between Russians and President Trump’s campaign https://t.co/bZBr7h4h7W

We are very, very close to the Putin Republicans arguing that they’re glad Trump worked with the Kremlin to beat “Crooked Hillary.” Republicans now think if Trump does it — whatever “it” is — it’s not a crime. Me in @PostOpinions: https://t.co/4oylbg3kBl

Trump has no plan to combat election interference

Maybe he doesn’t want to combat interference since it helped him in 2016.

Current and former officials tell @NBCNews that 19 months into his presidency, there is no coherent Trump administration strategy to combat foreign election interference — and no single person or agency in charge. https://t.co/zlqCJaQIkI

Besides being unwilling to use the word “Russia” (Voldemort!), the Trump meeting only focused on 1) voting machines security.

Just as important are 2) security of voter database and election reporting, 3) protection of body politic from foreign government info ops

Voter purges are increasing

Republicans are responsible for this.

States are struggling to protect the 2020 elections

President Donald Trump on Friday promised an intense, “whole-of-government” focus on securing the nation’s elections from cyberattacks — but a POLITICO survey of states finds ample reasons to worry about both this year’s midterms and 2020.

The Stand your ground laws
