Tax cut roundup – 10/28/18

So far, it has helped the rich and hasn’t produced an investment boom

and there’s this:

Anti-Semitism

Not all Trump supporters are bigots but I think a lot of them are.  Trump, with his hate-filled lies, has encouraged anti-Semitism and other kinds of bigotry.

Here are columns about anti-Semitism.  I am Jewish and I think every Jew in America has experienced anti-Semitism to some degree and is always aware it could happen.

From Jennifer Rubin’s column linked to below:

“In February, the Anti-Defamation League released its annual report, finding that “the number of anti-Semitic incidents was nearly 60 percent higher in 2017 than 2016, the largest single-year increase on record and the second highest number reported since ADL started tracking incident data in the 1970s.” ”

The return of anti-Semitism to the mainstream

Don’t forget this Trump tweet from the 2016 campaign:

The Trump administration corruption guide

This is great!

Trump lied about the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE)

Trump said the NYSE opened the day after 9/11.  It was closed until 9/17  He just wants to justify hold his hate-filled rallies.

The lives lost in Pittsburgh

Trump summarized in a tweet

He only cares about his base.

Fake photo of a Seahawk flag-burning

While we’re on fake photos, I decided to post this.

from the article:

“This hybrid of fake news meme isn’t necessarily new—a digitally altered photo of a shark swimming down a flooded city street gets passed around every hurricane season. But its power is only becoming more sinister as it gets harder to know what’s real. At best, people may get tired puzzling out the truth. At worse, they might stop worrying about it altogether. “In that way, it’s an exemplar of a new normal,” Milner says.
The problem is no longer just fake photos. It’s the fact people don’t care they’re not real.”
