Trump trade deficit lies and errors

Trump’s temper tantrum

Here’s Paul Krugman’s opinion of the G7 and some of his tweets from earlier today. He wrote about Trump: ” He didn’t put America first; Russia first would be a better description. And he didn’t demand drastic policy changes from our allies; he demanded that they stop doing bad things they aren’t doing. This wasn’t a tough stance on behalf of American interests, it was a declaration of ignorance and policy insanity.”

What does Russia have on Trump?

There is no rational way to explain Trump’s suggestion that Russia should be readmitted to the G7 unless Russia has something on him.   Russia was expelled because of their attack on the Ukraine.  Since then, there was their meddling in the US election and the poisoning in the UK.  There is no way they should be allowed back.

Trump has alienated our allies and put tariffs on him.  He has taken the US out of the Iran accord but has nothing to replace it.  He made the US the only country that is not in the Paris climate agreement.  He withdrew from the TPP but has nothing instead.  Asian countries will trade without us.  Do you really think he can make deals?  He has multiple bankruptcies, stiffed contractors, and pulled the Trump University scam.  I don’t see how he is capable of making good deals that will help the US.  He’s just a bully and liar.

He attacks our allies but sucks up to North Korea.

Putin must be thrilled by Trump’s disgraceful behavior.

Sad!

Update:

Trump attacks our allies on trade

If we have any allies left after all of his terrible behavior…..

Trump imposes tariffs on Canada, Mexico and Europe.

Our allies are perplexed by his policies.

Ivanka Trump’s conflict of interest

Then the president wants to help Chinese firm ZTE.

The article states: “Even as Mr. Trump contends with Beijing on issues like security and trade, his family and the company that bears his name are trying to make money off their brand in China’s flush and potentially promising market.”

It sure looks like a conflict of interest to me!

Many members of Congress oppose the ZTE deal.

China is winning on solar power while Trump takes us into the past

“Republicans who for years have voted against subsidies for solar and wind power — arguing that the “free market” should decide our energy future — are now eager to have government subsidize coal.”

This column points out that while Trump is trying to take us back into the past with coal, China is moving ahead with solar power.  Government policies have played a big part.

Sad!

Farmers are concerned about tariffs

I don’t feel sorry for anyone who voted for Trump who is hurt by his policies.  He’s doing what he said he would do during the campaign.  Trump voters have forced all of us to put up with an incompetent, lying bigot.

This is an excellent article in the New York Times.  The writer got out of New York and spoke with Midwestern farmers about their concerns and the potential impact on future elections.
