His lowest rating in CNN polls was the 35% he reached in December 2017. The number of those who approve of his job performance strongly (28%) remains the same as in the poll in March. ”

This breaking story states: “The New York attorney general on Thursday filed suit against President Trump and his three eldest children alleging “persistently illegal conduct” at the president’s personal charity, saying Trump repeatedly misused the nonprofit — to pay off his businesses’ creditors, to decorate one of his golf clubs and to stage a multimillion dollar giveaway at his 2016 campaign events.”
The alleged violations aren’t really news. The Washington Post has been reporting for years about shady actions by the charity such as buying pictures of Trump.

I agree with De Niro’s sentiment but he was wrong to say it. It distracts from the real issues like health care, racism, and immigration and focuses attention on his bad language. There are plenty of ways to criticize Trump without cursing. I don’t think the audience helped by responding enthusiastically. This will convince Trump voters even more that there are elites out to get them.

As the current staff members leave, the replacements for them will be even worse. Who would want to work in such chaos and backstabbing? Has anyone who worked for the Trump White House and left come out better off from the experience?
These tweets by Maggie Haberman of the New York Times discuss Trump’s behavior. I think he’s getting worse because he realizes there are no constraints. His base loves him and Republicans will do nothing because they are afraid of their voters. Democrats have no power. Neither does the media – they point out the lies, etc. but have no way to change his terrible behavior.
