If you’re ever in Baltimore, there’s an excellent restaurant featuring French fries, The Local Fry

The photo at the top is of The Local Fry fries called The Local Fry.

The Jayhawks are a great band from Minnesota. They have just released a new album.

Trump is getting more dishonest

I didn’t think that was possible!

I did the first detailed statistical analysis of Trump’s dishonesty. The big finding: it’s not just that he’s talking more, his words themselves are becoming less truthful over time. https://t.co/Vwp8zvyagn

Trump’s lies are increasing (video interview with Daniel Dale)

Nice shout out to the Fact Checker in this excellent column by @sbg1, who deserves her own shout out for helping to create the Fact Checker over a decade ago. https://t.co/sQnW7wLK8N

There are still conflict of interest issues

The Trump team grows swampier still. The fact that no congressional committee is looking into the effects of White House conflicts of interest on national and international policy is an abdication of the constitutional duty of Congress to oversee the executive branch — again. https://t.co/ER7su0SNxI

Climate change roundup

Trump said climate change is a Chinese hoax. Here are some examples of the truth. The public knows it’s a problem but Trump will do nothing to fix it.

2018 House polls

Super-interesting thread. Basically @ForecasterEnten is citing a file-drawer effect. If a poll does not favor your side, you don't release it. The fact that Republican pollsters are not releasing data suggests that they don't want to talk about the results. https://t.co/KqF6tPbKjR

Trump attacks May during his UK visit

Another move Putin will love. More chaos. I don’t think internal UK politics are Trump’s business.

President Trump tells the Sun newspaper:
– Boris Johnson Would Make A "Great Prime Minister
– London's Mayor Has "Done A Very Bad Job On Terrorism"
– Britain Is "Losing Its Culture" Because Of Immigration
– "The Washington Post is totally fake"

This may have been someone’s strategy, leading to further chaos for May, but not clear what Trump’s strategy was beyond doing something for a Murdoch paper https://t.co/9AHLgHX44H

Why would they have expected that it was the next morning? https://t.co/AbfWF5dDpk

— Maggie Haberman (@maggieNYT) July 12, 2018

This is such a lie it’s hilarious!

Deep in that Sun interview, Trump brags that his poll numbers with Republicans are even better than Lincoln's were. Lincoln died a decade before the telephone was invented and about eight decades before presidential approval polling began. https://t.co/9I5BOotua4

— Josh Barro (@jbarro) July 12, 2018

another Trump repeat lie:

For the fifth time, Trump lied that he "predicted Brexit" the day before the vote while in Scotland. He was not in Scotland the day before, he was there the day after. Day before, he didn't make a prediction at all; said he was pro-Brexit but hadn't been paying much attention. pic.twitter.com/NUvvAqB68u

— Daniel Dale (@ddale8) July 12, 2018

and more bigotry like the crap he says here:
