Trump charity charged with ‘illegal conduct’

This breaking story states: “The New York attorney general on Thursday filed suit against President Trump and his three eldest children alleging “persistently illegal conduct” at the president’s personal charity, saying Trump repeatedly misused the nonprofit — to pay off his businesses’ creditors, to decorate one of his golf clubs and to stage a multimillion dollar giveaway at his 2016 campaign events.”

The alleged violations aren’t really news. The Washington Post has been reporting for years about shady actions by the charity such as buying pictures of Trump.

Trump and loyalty

This article states: “A senior advisor to the State Department appointed just two months ago has been quietly vetting career diplomats and American employees of international institutions to determine whether they are loyal to President Donald Trump and his political agenda, according to nearly a dozen current and former U.S. officials. ”

Career civil servants are loyal to the country and the Constitution, not the individual who is president at the moment. This is scary stuff.

Putin should be thrilled by the damage Trump is doing to our alliances with other countries. I don’t think Putin could ask for more from Trump.

Gee what a surprise. A January piece in the Wall Street Journal – five months ago – reported that Trump had been told by a key advisor to drop joint military exercises with South Korea.

The advisor? Vladimir Putin. Trump knifed an ally to aid an enemy on the advice of Russia.
