Republicans in Congress won’t do anything to stop Trump because he is so popular with their voters. They should be ashamed of their cowardice.
Sad!

Farenthold was a Republican congressman who resigned when it became public that he used $84,000 of taxpayers money to settle a sexual harassment case.
He now has a $160,000 job as a lobbyist and won’t pay the $84,000 back. Sad!
Jim Jordan said he has not heard Trump lie. Apparently, some Republicans don’t care about the truth. They won’t do anything to make Trump be honest.

Congress recently lifted their ban on funding for gun violence research by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) . However, the CDC has not begun research. Chuck Schumer will push them to start.
The New York Times warns it will be up to Congress to take action if Trump tries to harm or shutdown the Mueller investigation.
I don’t have any confidence in congressional Republicans. They won’t protect the Special Counsel and won’t do anything if Mueller or Rosenstein are fired.
As the Washington Post argues, Fox News will protect Trump. The column notes that “In a recent Reuters/Ipsos poll, three of four Republicans said they believed the Justice Department and the FBI are actively working to undermine Trump.”
Sad!
Ryan’s criticism of Trump’s racism was not enough.
According to the column:
“Eleven percent of black Americans approve of the job Republicans in Congress are doing, according to the latest Quinnipiac University poll. And 8 percent of black Americans approve of the job Trump is doing, according to the poll.”
Sad!
Lewandowski, Trump’s former campaign manager told congressional Democrats that he wasn’t answering their “fucking” questions. Now, isn’t that a great way to treat members of Congress. He doesn’t respect people who don’t agree with him – just like Trump. The Republican-led House investigation which they terminated was obviously partisan and incomplete. Sad!
As a retired SSA employee, I was glad to see that the new budget will help SSA provide better service.
